Behind the Curtain initially ran in The Arcata Eye, a weekly paper published in the City of Arcata by Kevin Hoover. The series was named in a play-on-words, for the Redwood Curtain that divides the region physically, five hours above San Francisco and five hours below Eugene, the two closest major cities; and the curtain that is often found hanging in the hallway of a grow house, dividing the grow rooms from the living quarters. The series can still be found in part online at The Arcata Eye, but for some unknown reason, Sharon’s Byline was removed. The series can also be found in its entirety online for the Mad River Union, a publication Kevin Hoover worked at after the Arcata Eye ceased publishing.
